Terms

The deal between us.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and The Local Biz Club (“LBC,” “we,” “us”), operated by Megan Nakazawa in Canada. Signing up means you accept them.

What LBC is

A monthly membership giving small business owners a weekly Game Plan, a resource library (templates, calculators, checklists), a vetted-pros directory, a WhatsApp support community, and a live feed of platform/tax updates + open Canadian grants.

The trial + billing

  • Signup starts a 7-day free trial. Card required upfront.
  • On day 8, you're charged $29 CAD / month unless you cancelled.
  • We send a reminder email on day 5 so nothing catches you off guard.
  • Prices in CAD. Applicable taxes added at checkout.
  • Price changes require 30 days notice by email before your next renewal.

How to cancel

Cancel any time from Settings → Billing (Stripe customer portal). You keep access until the end of your current paid period. No retention dance, no phone tree.

Refunds

LBC is a no-refundmembership. That's what the 7-day trial is for — enough time to decide whether it fits. Once billed, that month is yours to use; if it's not for you, cancel before the next renewal.

Exceptions we honour: (a) accidental double-charges we caused, (b) Stripe processing errors we caused. In both cases we refund promptly.

What's yours

Anything you make using our templates — your reels, your captions, your posts. Also anything you upload as your business profile.

What's ours

The templates themselves, the hooks/setups/closes libraries, the Game Plan format, resources, and the software behind LBC. You have a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own business while you're a member.

Acceptable use

  • Don't repackage LBC templates or resources and sell them anywhere else
  • Don't share your login. Access is per human, not per team
  • Don't scrape, mirror, or automate downloading content in bulk
  • Don't use LBC to run illegal, hateful, or harassing businesses
  • WhatsApp community rules: no unsolicited pitches, no spam links, be a decent neighbour

Breaking any of the above ends your access with no refund.

Affiliate links + recommendations

When we recommend software or services, LBC sometimes earns a commission if you sign up. Every affiliate card is labelled. It never costs you more, and it never influences what makes it into the resource stack.

Vetted Pros directory

LBC introduces you to pros Megan personally trusts. We don't take payment from them for placement. Any work you engage with them is a contract between you and them — LBC isn't a party to it.

What we promise (and don't)

LBC is mentorship + tools. It is not a guarantee of sales, followers, or business outcomes. Everything shared is for information, not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice — talk to a licensed professional for those.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LBC's total liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. LBC is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. Disputes resolve in Alberta courts, unless local consumer-protection law says otherwise.

Changes

We'll email active members before any material change, with at least 30 days notice for anything affecting price or access.

Questions? Reply to any LBC email.
